Don't miss this spot when you are visiting Hiroshima. We have never had a more delicious experience. We were so lucky that they had a couple seats open for us that night, however please try and call ahead for reservation. The host is very kind and speaks excellent English. We tried many different dishes and cooked most of them on the bbq right in front of us (no worries, staff will help with cooking instructions and cooking). Absolutely reasonably priced. Everyone, including the guests, made us feel like home, which made it the best experience in Japan for us.

Great sashimi, grilled fish are fresh. Price very reasonable for what you get.

Local menu but they have a English speaking staff to assist you.. one more word about their restaurant, fresh.fresh. fresh you won't get wrong to come here for a seafood dinner

Dont let the outside fool you, the inside has an amazing atmosphere and very friendly English speaking staff. She helped us with the menu and recommended what to get and it was all amazing. We had the whale which was delicious with a side of rice and the shrimp salad which was very large and delicious. We also tried a sashimi of the fresh fish and it was very good. Recommend if you only have one night in Hiroshima go somewhere reasonable and fun and yummy.

Some of the best food we've had in Japan so far. Heard that the host is lovely and gave great food recommendations - couldn't agree more! She speaks great English, is super helpful and is just such a great person. Had the roasted and butter poached fish, so good, it's a must try. Tbh this place is a must if you're heading to Hiroshima! Would travel back to Hiroshima just to eat here!

Fantastic fish on the grill, squid, clams, red snapper, and delicious sushi. It has been an incredible experience!! Totally recommend it

Amazing restaurant, super friendly owners who make you feel comfortable and walk you through the awesome fresh fish bbq menu. Drinks were delicious with wide variety of sake and other drinks we wouldn't have known to ask for ourselves including plum wine. 10/10, highly recommend.

In the middle of nowhere is this restaurant. If you like fresh, seasonal seafood you should visit this place. The food is excellent!! I am sorry for demolish the place with my head. I was too big for the door.. 😁

Amazing BBQ food and lovely hosts. Great for a great Japanese cuisine experience in Hiroshima and English is also fluently spoken of you show up at dinner time.

It is a shop that made use of fresh fish shellfish in Setouchi. According to what I hear it is said that the fisherman is running. The shop is a log house with a wood deck. I was introduced to the moat of Kotatsu Horigata. Since I have told you about the approximate budget at the time of reservation, I can be relieved. Especially tasty and impressive ones are the emphasis on greens accompanying the assortment of sashimi, the small rock, but plenty of rock oyster, plenty of seasoning, boiled with meatballs with firm seasoning , Miso soup which took soup with ara. The price was reasonable and it seemed to be a fisherman-owned shop and we had plenty of fresh fish.

The food here is excellent. So good that we ate here twice during our stay in Hiroshima. Reservation is a must. The lady owner is extremely friendly and helpful, she speaks perfect English hence ordering is no problem at all. Everything is nice and drinks are very reasonably priced. Smoking is allowed but the place is very airy hence will not make any non smoker uncomfortable. It is well worth the taxi fare to and fro for such great food

Worth the drive for fresh seafood, great service and cool vibe

The boss is very good in English, and the staff also speak English. The meals are delicious. The grilled fish, steamed fish, clams, salmon fried rice, salads, and sashimi are very fresh and delicious. The price of the meal is reasonable, not very expensive, but it is full!

Excellent food esp the buttered oysters n the steamed snapper was so fresh. Need to make rsvn. The lady boss speaks very good English and she makes good food recommendation based on the number of guests in a gp. I love every dishes .

It’s in the middle of nowhere but REALLY worth a visit. A local feel, but welcoming to foreigners too. Great bbq fish and all the sake you can drink.

So accommodating and amazing seafood! We got shrimp salad, buttered oysters, bbq snapper, deep fried flounder, and sashimi. The hostess speaks excellent English, and she & her husband own and run the place. Super cozy and welcoming - would not miss!

A place tucked away just off a little road on the way out of Hiroshima. Very unassuming from the outside but the inside has a lovely atmosphere with recessed seating at the bar with further seating towards the back. We had sashimi selection and food to put on our own grill; a selection of seafood, chicken, a whole red snapper. All were delicious. To top it off brought out some adult ice cream for my birthday (ice cream and sake). Fantastic place and thoroughly recommended, well worth the relatively short ride on the bus or taxi.
